Thymalin
Thymic Peptide Bioregulator | Immune Modulator
Availability
Thymalin is currently available through specialized research suppliers
Thymalin is a natural peptide bioregulator derived from calf thymus gland, developed in the Soviet Union in the 1970s. It contains a mixture of thymic peptides that support immune restoration, anti-aging, and tissue regeneration. Research spanning decades has shown significant geroprotective effects, with studies demonstrating up to 2-fold reduction in mortality rates and 4-fold reduction when combined with Epithalamin.
Mechanism of Action
Thymalin's immunoprotective action stems from short peptides (KE, EW, EDP) that specifically bind to double-stranded DNA and histone proteins to regulate gene expression. It stimulates differentiation and activity of T-lymphocytes, especially CD4+ and CD8+ cells, promotes cytokine regulation, enhances antigen response, and stimulates stem cell differentiation. It also affects gerontogene activity and immune system protein synthesis.
Key Benefits
- Potent immune system restoration and modulation
- Significant geroprotective (anti-aging) effects
- Reduced mortality rate in clinical studies (2.0-2.1 fold)
- Normalized cardiovascular, endocrine, and nervous system function
- Reduced acute respiratory disease incidence (2.0-2.4 fold)
- Enhanced T-lymphocyte differentiation (CD4+, CD8+)
- Antitumor effects in animal studies
- Safe for elderly populations with no side effects
Immune Support
- Immune Restoration
Stimulates T-lymphocyte differentiation and activity for comprehensive immune system restoration.
- Lymphopenia Recovery
Accelerates recovery of lymphocyte populations including CD4+, CD3+HLA-DR+, B-cells, and NK-cells.
- Respiratory Illness Prevention
2.0-2.4 fold reduction in acute respiratory disease incidence in elderly patients.
Longevity
- Mortality Reduction
Clinical studies showed 2.0-2.1 fold mortality reduction over 6-8 years in treated elderly.
- Geroprotection
Normalizes basic body functions and improves cardiovascular, endocrine, immune, and nervous systems.
- Combined Protocol
When combined with Epithalamin for 6 years, mortality decreased 4.1 times vs control.
Therapeutic Applications
- COVID-19 Support
Faster reversal of lymphopenia and immune marker recovery in severe COVID-19 patients.
- Antitumor Effects
Tumor growth arrest and regression observed in over half of animals in sarcoma studies.
- Thymus Normalization
Normalizes thymus function during aging process.
Administered via intramuscular or subcutaneous injection in short 5-10 day cycles. Often combined with other bioregulators like Epitalon or Vilon for enhanced systemic effects. Practically no side effects, safe for elderly populations.
| Goal | Dose | Frequency | Route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Immune restoration | 10 mg | Daily | IM or SubQ |
| Standard cycle | 10 mg | Daily for 5-10 days | IM or SubQ |
| Maintenance | 10 mg | 1-2x yearly cycles | IM or SubQ |
| With Epithalamin | 10 mg each | Annual cycles | IM or SubQ |
Reconstitution Instructions

Combined use showed 4.1-fold mortality reduction vs 2.0-fold with Thymalin alone.
Often used together for enhanced systemic recovery and immune support.
Similar thymic origin; different mechanisms can complement each other.
No known negative interactions; different mechanisms.
